Description
Chihoe Hahn hosts our weekly Open Mic Night, which was voted Best of Hudson Valley. For more than 25 years, the Towne Crier’s legendary Open Mic Nights have drawn top talent from throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond, Known as a true “listening room,” it provides artists with a respectful performance space, and live music fans with the best entertainment value around.
SIGN UP POLICY
Please note: Due to the popularity of our Thursday #OpenMic Night, we have made some adjustments to the sign-up process. The previous system resulted in us having to turn people away due to all slots being quickly filled. In an effort to be fair and accommodating to everyone, we are implementing the following guidelines:
– in person sign up between 4-6 p.m. on Thursday;
– online sign up between 12-3 p.m. on Thursday; please email openmic@townecrier.com – we’re no longer taking calls. If you sign up and don’t attend, or don’t cancel before 5 p.m., you’ll no longer be eligible to sign up online;
– The normal limit is 2 songs per person. If we exceed a certain number of performers, we’ll limit each performer to 1 song. If it’s a slow night and time allows, we could increase it to 3 songs per person.
– All performers MUST be present at 6:30 p.m., when we will draw the lottery for order of performance slots.
