Description

The Cinema Arts Centre joins with the Folk Music Society of Huntington in presenting the Northshore Original Open Mic (NOOM) three Wednesday nights each month. The open mic series is held in the Cinema’s Sky Room, with performances starting at 7 p.m. and open mic sign-up beginning at 6:30 p.m. It is free to attend or participate, but donations will be sought and gratefully accepted.

Hosted by local singer-songwriters Toby Tobias and Richard Parr, everyone is encouraged to be the best songwriter and performer they can be, in an environment of support, good will and open-mindedness.

1 original song or poem per performer and then we go round again. (depending on how busy we are).

A longer Featured Performance from 1 well-known or emerging singer-songwriter will start around 8:00pm each week, with the open mic continuing afterwards.

What to expect

Open mic nights are events where performers, from singers to poets, take the stage to share their talents in front of a live audience, providing a platform for emerging artists to gain exposure and connect with fellow creatives.
