Emy's Groovecard
Emy B has spent most of her life rocking up and down the California coastline, but she is a big-city girl at heart. Relocating to New York City has only fed her passion for music and performing. Her start as a part of the 1980s Hollywood rockabilly revival scene led her to become the front woman of many bands, ranging from rockabilly to jump blues to viper swing (including but not limited to: The Red Devils, The Viper Six, Emy Mack and the Trim, Up in the Air, The Rockabelles and Emy and the Epix) and opening for the likes of the Ramones and Tower of Power, to name a few. Emy also won 2nd place at Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater with her rousing rendition of Billie Holiday's "God Bless the Child".
Emy is also a seasoned actress in her own right, with a true love of musical theatre that has informed both her vocal growth and her focus as a music educator. She currently divides her time with Emy and the Epix, her east coast rockabilly band and as a solo artist on the west coast. Emy's family band is called The Rockabelles, a vocal quartet, with her three incredible daughters who all share her penchant for music.
