Rosa Ortiz

A powerhouse behind the kit, Rosa Hodges Ortiz has spent nearly two decades making her mark in the music industry. Inspired by rock icons like RED, Flyleaf, and Nirvana, she developed her craft in church and school bands before landing a spot as the drummer for a well known hard rock band at just 16. Touring nationally, recording a full-length album, and earning multiple Billboard-charting singles, she proved her talent on some of the biggest stages.

After departing the band in 2012, Rosa expanded her reach as a session drummer, educator, and live performer, mastering genres from rock and pop to country and CCM. Known for her relentless precision, creative spark, and ability to elevate any song, she remains a sought-after musician. Beyond music, Rosa is a devoted wife and mother, balancing family life while continuing to inspire the next generation of drummers with her passion and grit.
