Ray Hou

Ray Hou is a full-time film composer, producer, singer-songwriter and violinist based in both Chicago and Taipei, he has indie and commercial works panning throughout Asia, Europe, and the US. In 2023 alone he has made custom music for brands such as Sony, McDonalds, TGI Fridays. He had since co-composed several feature films in Asia, including one that broke the pre-sale box office record in Asia: “Shining for One Thing.”  His original score for indie film “A Black Dog by the Reef” was showcased at the Berlin Film Festival; his music for the highly anticipated Netflix Original “Born For The Spotlight” was showcased at the Busan International Film Festival. Ray has also been involved with the art industry, and has been showcased with art films by the Whitney Group in New York. Ray’s music, however, stretches even farther than large-scale feature films, TV Shows, and advertisements. In 2024 he made custom music for AGT winner Avantgardey, and regularly writes and produces C-Pop for prominent labels in East Asia.
