Paul Burke

I'm a Brighton-based guitarist, educator, and performer originally from Australia, with over nine years of experience teaching guitar through the Department of Education. My background spans a wide range of musical settings—from touring nationally across Australia to performing in music theatre productions and reading gigs.

Specialising in both electric and fretless guitar, I hold a Bachelor of Music from Melbourne Polytechnic, where I studied under renowned guitarist Tom Fryer, and an Advanced Diploma of Music from the University of Ballarat.

As a performer, I've led my own instrumental funk and jazz ensembles, bringing groove-heavy, improvisation-rich music to the stage. I'm also an active content creator, running a YouTube channel dedicated to music transcription and education, with a library of over 100 transcription and lead sheet videos.

Whether I'm on stage, in the lesson room, or online, my focus is always on musicality—and on being a fun, friendly person to be around!
