David Floegel

Hi, I'm David - a session drummer based in Brighton, UK.

With nearly 30 years behind the kit, I bring a deep musical understanding and a collaborative spirit to every session. My focus is always on serving the song - whether that means delivering a tight pocket, adding texture and energy, or creating space where the music needs to breathe. My goal is to support your vision and elevate your track without ever getting in the way of it.

I’ve played and recorded across a wide range of genres - from jazz, funk and soul to rock, pop, fusion, and even progressive metal. My experience spans everything from intimate jazz sessions, to full blown big band and musical theatre productions and full studio recordings with bands and singer-songwriters. Whatever the style, I strive to bring groove, musicality, and feel to every performance.

As a session player, I've worked with artists and musicians such as Ed Poole (Gavin Harrison, Bonnie Tyler), Yolanda Charles (Hans Zimmer, Sting, Robbie Williams), and Nigel Hopkins (Chris de Burgh), just to name a few.

My drum studio is tailor made for drum recordings and fully equipped with high-quality drums, a wide rage of snare drums and cymbals so I can tailor the sound to fit your project - whether you’re after something clean and polished, raw and vintage or cinematic.
